I've got a good deal to try out this hotel. The place looks old, and there doesn't seem to be much renovating being done to make it up to par with the many upscale brands of hotel. However, the lobby is spacious, one of the most spacious hotel lobby I had seen. There were many lounging area, although I didn't get the chance to try them out.
The staffs were helpful and friendly although they didn't perform exceptional service, but it's a tiny nitpick.
I tried out the breakfast, and it's quite good with plenty of dishes to choose from. While a lot of hotels offer smallish glass to fill in your beverage, Pullman provides a normal size glass, to my amusement.
The executive room was spacious, but the in room climate control struggles to bring down the temperature during the day. So the room remains somewhat hot and humid. The furnishing is rather outdated, although I made plenty of use from the excellent in room WiFi (2 Mbps up and down). The bed however was excellent, and I slept well throughout the night.
The pool area is rather small, and almost half of the space is being used for shallow swimming area for children. I didn't have the chance to try out the gym.
There was only one restaurant at ground level as the other restaurants closed down during the Holy month of Ramadan. There was also shuttle provided for transportation to the near shopping mall although I didn't get to see the schedule.
Small nitpick, the laundry list specifies that the service is unavailable during weekend and holiday. But, I made the call to the housekeeping, and as it turned out I could have my laundry done during the weekend. It's a surprising inclusion, perhaps it's an outdated laundry form.
