One of the most iconic place in Jakarta. People often call it "Kota Tua Jakarta" because you can feel the colonial era of Jakarta. Fatahillah square is in the center of this area.

A lot of tourist attractions in this site such as live music and some attractions.

There's a art and bank museum still use this buildings.

Kota Tua, or "Jakarta Old Town" (English) and "Oud Batavia" (Dutch), centered on Fatahillah square is now a lively place with traditional attractions, handicraft vendors, fortune tellers, food vendors and bicycle rental. There is no charge to enter this area. So that even during a pandemic like this, this place in the morning, afternoon and evening remains a recreational destination for local travelers. In the holiday season and weekends it will be more crowded.

This is an iconic place in the old town of Jakarta, and we called it Kota Tua Jakarta. The buildings came from European architecture, which was built hundreds of years ago. It has become a part of our history and a legacy from the past.

The center of Batavian Governor Office where you can feel how was living in the past of colonial era in Jakarta. This Neighborhood once called Kota Tua which is a remainder of Old Batavia, the first walled settlement of the Dutch in Jakarta area. It was an inner walled city with its own Castle. The area gained importance during the 17th-19th century when it was established as the de facto capital of the Dutch East Indies. This inner walled city contrasted with the surrounding villages, orchards, and rice fields. Dubbed "The Jewel of Asia" in the 16th century by European sailors, the area was a center of commerce due to its strategic location within the spice trade industry in the archipelago.

Very interesting place, I would say a must place to visit in Jakarta. Although it's not a place to visit for long time, but it's good for a walk and relaxing time.

Many street artists wearing interesting costume and performing. You can rent a bike and cycle around. There are some restaurants around. there are also many colonial buildings.

However, the weather can be quite hot there.

This is a heritage place. Very beautiful. I really enjoyed when i was there.. this place is suitable for kids , teens and old.. You have to be careful with pickpockets. This is a great place for selfies. The place is very close to the relics of colonialism
