The museum is spacious, it has so many different collections of paintings, pottery, and ceramics. It also has a limited time exhibition. Great place to admire the arts, but it's quite hot in there since the air conditioners are old. I also joined the pottery class, it cost 50k rupiah per person and you'll get the clay and accompanied by the instructor. You can make any shapes you want, just tell the instructor. A good place for beginner????

One of many options you can choose to spend your weekend!
Entrance fee is 5000 rupiah. Nice thing about this museum is you can try to make your own pottery for 50 thousands rupiah (although it’s not for the complete process, you can dry them at home, firing not included. still a nice experience!) if you want to join the pottery workshop on weekend, its better to come before 15.30 (closed registration). you will get a plastic of clay and a queue number. then maybe you can stroll around the museum while waiting! or if you’re hungry, they also sell popmie, frestea etc????????

Had a fun time participating in the 30-minute pottery workshop. However for those who would like to join this workshop I suggest u guys to come really early in the morning, otherwise u cant book the slot

a really interesting place to bring your children to learn and discover new knowledge. the entrance fee is very cheap but you have to buy jak card with price 35 k and can be used for multiple people. the place is quite old as it is ex dutch's collonial building but the collection are very valuable also the guide is very informative and friendly

Easily accessible with public transport. If you are totally free with nothing else to do for the day, worth pay a visit to this museum. It is a fairly lean furnishings. The air conditioning is still not working yet, it would be great if there’s at least stand fan for better ventilation. Admission fee is IDR5K.

One section at the upper floor, the timber flooring and spiral staircase are stored in it’s original form.

After visiting the museum, we had a meal at the Batavia. It is a nice 2-storey restaurant with colonial interior and ambiance. On the upper floor, one can enjoy the view of the museum and Fatahillah Square. My only qualms of the restaurant is that most the imported beers and cakes are out of stocks. The staff are friendly, the one who served us speaks English well.

Nice place to visit. One of interesting museum in Kota Tua Jakarta, North Jakarta. Easy to find and accessed by train or Bus Transjakarta. Cheap price.

The building is separated into few times. Easy to get directions enter to where then where. Many place have good lighting. There 2 stairs, I think, that are uniquely design but strong. There is garden that make us so comfort to get relax and also small exhibition hall in the front.
