It was a wonderful living amongst the paddy fields and experiencing rural Bali. If you are bored of the regular hotels surely this is the spot for your. Though it is a bit of walk to the property we enjoyed our stay in the house with a Balinese vibe. The breakfast was simple but very nice filled with fresh fruits from the garden. Loved the homemade peanut butter that Sonu made ????????

This place is beyond magical. I used to walk by this property, even bring friends by, have a coconut (back when the cafe was open for non-guests), tell everyone in hushed tones that it was my favorite property in all of Ubud, maybe even all of Bali. And that's before I even stayed there. I've stayed twice now in the ravine, the far back property. It's got an epic bathtub looking out open air to the jungle and river below. Epic views of rice fields. Charming decor. It's special, like living in a real-life gingerbread house but also with a bohemian global vibe for the decor - huge mirrors, gorgeous light fixtures, leather chair. I can't say how special this property is - even when you arrive on the land, you feel it.

This is my third stay at The Rice Joglo u0026 it is one of my favourite places in the world! I have stayed in a number of different suites over the years, and they are all beautifully decorated, with stunning views over the rice fields. The newly opened restaurant has a range of deliciously cooked meals, made with the freshest ingredients u0026 a smile from the friendly chef. The staff at The Rice Joglo are a special group of people who go out of their way to ensure my stay in enjoyable and memorable. See you next year.

The most special place you could even get in Bali. This property is like a piece on Heaven. I totally enjoyed it❤️ Magnificent decor, super friendly stuff, beautiful garden and the view on the rice field and jungle. Property is located in the heart of Ubud on the jungle walking route. Living here is one of the most interesting experiences in Bali. Leave a part of my heart here, highly recommended!

We spent a couple of nights here and were truly amazed: this is probably the most beautiful place to stay in Ubud! Others have already written that it is a fairytale house - and it's true! When you come around the corner on the small path through the rice fields, the house stands there as if from another world in the middle of nature. It is dreamlike!
But the small hotel that is run here is also great! The rooms are unique, each with a view of the rice fields or the jungle, everything is very clean and very carefully furnished. The host Sonu and his team are always there to fulfil a wish.
I often had tea in the open, covered kitchen/patio and enjoyed the wonderful view. I also got a very good breakfast here.
What makes this place unique is probably the nature that is everywhere (animals, vegetable garden, rice fields, jungle), but also the personal hospitality. I felt more like I was staying with friends here than in a hotel. It is exceptional and we would certainly like to come back again!

I found this magical place after walking past it. It looks like it's out of a fairytale, with 4 unique Dutch colonial houses (one has an upstairs plunge pool/jacuzzi!). The ducks and guinea pigs in the front garden are the cutest thing. During the day there are lots of butterflys and at night there's fireflies. I've stayed here many times and it's by far my favourite place in Ubud.

The staff are the friendliest people too, so it's 5/5 for me no question ❤️

The loveliest place you can stay when in Ubud. The rooms are prepared with so much attention to detail and the most beautiful interior, you can only feel good and relax there. Surrounded by rice fields, nature and the many cute animals that live on the property, you can relax perfectly, chat with a cup of chai or just spend some time on the terrace and enjoy the incredible view and quietness. Nevertheless, it is not far to ubud city center. the people make this place even more special. I would love to visit the rice Joglo again when on another trip to Ubud.
