Beauty and Warmth
We had such a lovely stay here the staff were awesome helpful caring and attentive. Our room consisted of a huge comfortable king bed, a living room with lounge tv dvd a daybed that had amazing views over the rice fields that close if you opened the window you could touch them. Off this area was a kitchen that opened out on to a peaceful courtyard with a love seat for two right on the edge of the rice fields with views to Mt Agung towering in the distance. The Bathroom was spacious and clean with a large soaking bath and a seperate walk in shower. The breakfast here is fantastic, my favourite consisted of fresh squeezed Tangerine juice- Kiki wrap- fresh fruit plate- black coffee with amazing Banana bread yum!!. We enjoyed the location as it was set in the rice fields far enough away from Ubud so you enjoyed the tranquility but also close enough to be able to enjoy the restaurants shopping and the many yoga class options. We found it an easy stroll to town but also the fabulous staff can take you to town on the back of a motorised scooter and return for you later. We also loved the many rice field trail options that were accessed easily from this location, the staff can also arrange any day trip requirements you have. We will definitely book solo villa’s again.

Best service I received at any hotel in Bali so far. The rooms were clean, the tap water is from a 60 m deep well that's tested often (don't drink it but you can brush your teeth with it), the Canadian owner treats her staff exceptionally and it shows. The breakfast that's included is fantastic, with over easy eggs cooked to perfection (harder to do than it sounds). The room and swimming pool were spotless as were all the sheets and towels which is rare at this price point. You can tell the owner has an eye for detail and design.

Can't really fault this place really, the room and especially the bathroom we had was fantastic! The view out across the rice paddies was beautiful despite the rice not grown. Huge soft bed, lounge area and our dream bathroom, with its own mini garden, 2 person sized bath and (hot) rainfall shower. The staff are very friendly and helpful, picking us up and dropping us off in town on bikes... This might not be everyone however. The breakfast was very good, made to order with a wide choice/plentiful. It doesn't have it's own restaurant but there are a few nearby and it's a short bike ride or pleasant walk into town. Highly recommended!

I was totally overwhelmed by this place. What can I say? This place is amazing with beside of rice field area, calm, quite and peaceful. And staffs are wonderfully friendly, kind and sincere. Welcoming juice, breakfast is nice, I reckon, I cannot find and defects. Even, they drove me to accommodation from the parking place by scooters, that’s one of exciting points as well. It’s bit a far from airport and cbd but I freaking recommend this accommodation. I seriously wanna come again later with my family. Thank you for making gorgeous memories :)

Great location in the middle of the paddy fields, with very pleasant staff, although rooms and dining area need housekeeping to crack the whip regarding deep cleaning. Be mindful access is only by scooter (as a passenger - including suitcases!) unless you like a long walk. Rooms live up to the site photos.

We stayed here for three nights. This place is very nice and well located, in the middle of the rice fields, at just 10 minutes from the center of Ubud. The room and the bathroom are spacious and clean, with beautiful natural light. We loved our bed and their colorful and vintage chic furniture. The breakfast is diverse and very good, the staff is friendly and attentive and the view is breathtaking. They have an amazing blue pool where we had our breakfast. Also, they will provide you a cell phone, so if you want to be picked up from Ubud, we just have to contact them and in a few minutes they will come after you. Of course, this applies also to the drop-offs. We were looking for this kind of place and we are glad that we found it. Thank you, Solo Villas u0026 Retreat for the amazing three days!
