PROS:
Located close to Ubud central. The property is quite literally in the lap of nature and the stillness of the place really helps calm you. The place has a rustic, old-world charm which was a pleasant break from the newer, swanky hotels we are normally accustomed to. It feels like a tiny self-contained little fortress in itself. The restaurant within the premises of the property is a real bonus, as it saves the effort of ordering in or walking down to the market on the days that you don't feel like it. The main pool is beautifully situated in front of the restaurant.
The service is great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Yudha from the front desk was particularly helpful in booking short hop trips, cabs, and massages for us.
CONS:
No major cons. But if I had to nitpick...
The private pool villas are great, I only wish they had an infinity pool. The wall in front of the pool can be a tad bit obstructive to your view from within the pool (or the view in your IG pictures), though the view is still pretty great. Also, the pool was not underlit at night for some reason, even though it did have a light inside.
Those not acquainted with rainforest climates should come prepared for some insects and noisy toads after sundown (a natural consequence of being in the midst of the paddy fields). Carry earplugs and mosquito repellent.
The WiFi can be a bit spotty at times.
