Stay was good but not great .
The good : location: the villas located on the outskirts of Ubud in nice green areas , complimentary shuttle bus available every 2 hours to and from centre of Ubud . Staff : was very welcoming , friendly and accommodating, packed our breakfast at 10:00pm as we were away for the next morning , gave us adaptors to our phones so we could charge them. The rooms were clean but a bit outdated .
The bad : Breakfast was okay , but very simple with limited options, definitely not the 5star hotel mark . Private swimming pool was extremely cold and not suitable for swimming ever on hot days , the room was pretty dark due to many trees around .
Good stay for a single young couples or solo , but definitely felt like a 3 star hotel mark .

More like 3 star. Everything is way too old for a 5 star hotel. really needs to be improved. the smell in the room is not good at all, most likely mold. The tv is from the 90s.

the pool way too cold. Got little for the money.

But the staff was great.

However, realize that it has been closed for 2 years, due to covid and the owners probably need more time to do better.

When my wife booked this for us for our honeymoon I was very excited as from the photos this looked beautiful, however within 5 minutes we knew we’d made a big mistake.

When we arrived at the resort there were 4-5 stray dogs at the front of the hotel, which was quite intimidating as they all barked extremely loudly, this did not stop through the nights, from 10pm until the early hours of the morning. This resulted in absolutely no sleep through the noise of the dogs, when this was flagged to the staff they said they would try and resolve this situation but never came back to us, this wasn’t the only reason we couldn’t sleep.

Secondly the room was extremely humid and it was impossible for us to sleep in, we asked the staff to assist us with the air conditioning remote they did it for us but never showed us how to use it ourselves which we asked them too on several occasions and the instructions they gave were wrong.

Also the last reason why we couldn’t sleep is you could hear it extremely loudly when it rained at night, completely understand it is no one’s fault of the weather but the way the room is designed you can hear everything that happens on the outside even footsteps to your door.

Now the cleanliness of the room was the worst I’ve ever seen, the main bedroom was okay however the bathroom had mould on the toilet and in the bathtub, it made it impossible to shower and when you got the courage to step into the dirty tub the shower pressure felt like very mild rain, the pool we had at the Villa was unclean and the water was dirty, had no desire to use this.

The lighting in the room caused us a big issue as it was impossible to see anything in the room when packed and when getting ready it was extremely difficult. And when it comes to lighting the way the room works is you have to leave the front light on through the night if you want electricity to work in the sockets, me and my wife don’t like any lights on when we sleep so on night one we switched the lights off and then realised in the morning phones we left on charge over night didn’t charge as electricity wouldn’t work without the light being on.

The final thing was there is no kitchen anymore, nothing on their websites states they don’t serve food and when we got there we found out we cannot have breakfast unless it’s boiled rice, no lunch or dinner which was stated on their website.

This was a horrible experience for us which made it hard to appreciate the beautiful country Bali is, the staff as nice as they were did not really help us. We checked out of this place a few days earlier as we really couldn’t stomach it anymore.

Stayed here on the first three nights for honeymoon in Bali. Very friendly staff, amazing massage and a very cool vibe. Free shuttle into Ubud centre or a short walk. Staff were very happy to organise taxis etc. Would come again!

Overall not a nice place to stay - save your money and book elsewhere. I’ve never left a negative review at a hotel before but this place was disappointing from the get go:
1- Rooms don’t appear like they do in the photos, and the street the hotel is on is quite dirty and unappealing.
2- Service was not great. Apart from having no assistance with our heavy luggage, the staff didn’t seem to have the same brilliant friendliness we saw during our recent time in Nusa Dua (if you’re there, highly recommend the fantastic La Berceuse villa for both service and their beautiful villas).
3- The hotel advertises as having a restaurant, but the restaurant was closed and unable to offer any lunch or dinner service, meaning we had to catch a ride into the town (with a complimentary shuttle service that ends at 6.15pm)

House keeping was good and all staff were extremely friendly.
The bathrooms specifically were in need of major renovations as they were indoor/outdoor showers and mould and cracks were present throughout..

Buffet breakfast was ok.
Good location. Highly recommend hiring a scooter for $7/day to get around and explore... beware though because they have minimal road rules!
