Visited the temple during ramadhan. You can see the diversity here. They give free meals for those fasting. A good place to take photos and feel a cultural ambience. It is the oldest temple in Jakarta, built in the 16th century.

Buddhis Temple, heritage. Best temple in Jakarta, clean, comfort, good for praying. Nice architecture, has limited parking space, good accessbility and transport. Recommended

There is a wet and dry market on the small alley road leading towards the temple, a lot of interesting things to see.

The temple itself is very historical and it is currently under preservation construction however one can still enjoy the temple and pay their respects to the gods.

Entrance is free but feel free to donate a small sum in the donation box to help preserve the temple.

I have been to this Temple during Imlek (chinesw new year 2020). It was crowded. A lot of things can be learnt about the Buddhism traditional and their way of prayer, their way of celebration. This temple seems small but actually its quite big. Photography is allowed. The location is Glodok. But i am not sure about the transport facility because i walk by myself from Kota and it's walking distance from there.
On the way to this temple there is a china market. A lot of fish market, foods, vegetables etc.
One of must visit place. Try to visit here on Chinese new year. I don't know about this temple on the other days.

One of the oldest temple if not the oldest in this Chinatown area, a lively and busy temple. Extremely busy during festival season but also some homeless people begging for food and money around.
