The food is a typical home-cooked cuisine. You get a one-hour free-parking coupon upon dining in. When I came to visit, they ran out Bistik Lidah which is their favourite dish, so I ordered Galantine served with their sauce of the house, Tomatensoep, and Poffertjes for the dessert. I did not expect much out of Dutch food...their food was up to my expectation (in a neutral way).
I just came on a very bad evening (around 7 o'clock on a weekday) that a group of bible study folks all came in at once without prior reservation (presumably, since the waiters had not bother to notify us before eating that they were expecting a large group of crowd). They joined all the tables into one, and asked for the background music to be turned off. The atmosphere was unbearable as they were chanting religious hymns and reciting holy verses to some unwilling audience.
That alone deters me from visitting this eatery ever again, worrying that the group is a regular. I'm sorry for the bitter review but I did expect a generic vibe for my dinner then.
