Had the pleasure to visit this temple during a ceremony. It is great to see them in use. Other temples were beautiful also but seeing the locals use them adds to the experience. Locals were very friendly. When arriving on a special holiday men are asked to wear a headband, staf around your waist along with the sarong. They have these on lend at the ticket booth.

The temple and surroundings are quite beautiful, but most of it is off limits for visitors. The territory is not large, expect to spend around 30 mins.
The entrance fee is around 30k, sarongs are given for free.
Would not recommend spending a day trip, but if you are in the area, it's worth paying a visit.

I love this rarely visited Pura on the flanks of Gunung Batukaru. It is geared for religious purposes not tourism, consequently most of the actual temples are off limits. But the situation of the temple in beautiful forests is worth the visit

Location is very nice but you can see the temples only from alleys as everything is closed “DO NOT ENTER”, quite disappointed to drive till there pay the entrance and spend 5 minutes inside. What is the point if you can’t get in?

The temple was beautiful and we didn’t have an intrusive person there trying to sell us anything. We paid the ticket, got a Sarong included in the ticket price and then we enjoyed the temple by our own.

Another nice and quiet cycling route. The climb to the temple can be quite challenging but it paid off by the speedy descend. Please be respectful when you're at the temple area.

We really liked this beautiful temple, we enjoyed it under the rain and it was a memorable experience!
