It's a hassle to get here, but when you finally arrive you will be blown away by the amazing view!
Their candlelight dinner is great and it was cool to try out some new food.
There is not much to do, so you can just relax and be present.

The rooms are ok but we would have wished for an AC, even if it's cooler up in the mountains during the night.
The pool was super cold and not heated.

The cats were nowhere and everywhere, and they also woke us up every morning while they were playing. Not so much fun.
The owner and staff are welcoming and happy people.

This must have been a fantastic property in its glory years.
Now there isn't much left of that.
The property has a lot of deferred maintenance and that is not from the last few years. We got the room by the pool under the common area.
During a tropical rain shower, the water came through the ceiling in 3 different places in our room. The quickly unrolled plastic on the floor above was to no avail.
Towels were laid all over our room and our suitcases placed on the table.
The room was wet and damp even the bedding was claims.
At 5.30 am there is already plenty of activity in the common room, the walking rumbles through the floor and you can hear the conversations, so you don't sleep anymore.
The staff is super friendly and helpful like all the people in Bali.
The view of this place is magically beautiful and located in the middle of the jungle at 900 meters altitude. The food is good, healty and traditional Indonesian.
Realize if you book this hotel that you have to eat here in the evening because you can't leave. It is pitch dark and the path is impassable.
Take into account an access path of about 300 meters that is not equally accessible everywhere. You have to walk this part.
Your luggage will be transported this last piece on the back of a motorbike.
The pool is not heated and much too cold.
The photos are not representative of the location. And after working as an independent photographer for 30 years, I have a pretty good eye for that.
We are in Bali for the 3rd time and travel a lot through Asia.
The price-quality ratio is not right at all here.
We booked 3 nights but left one day earlier Mr. Wawan wasn't interested in the reason. He is only concerned with himself.

The magically beautiful Jatiluwih rice fields are well worth the effort.
Go there early in the morning and you will have this beauty to yourself.

Worth the drive, else since the drive up is rather scenic. This tea plantation and hotel combo is good for a relaxing weekend. Good options are scarce and the rooms are a bit outdated but the peacefulness of the surroundings make up for it. The pool is pretty small, just for plunging and for kids to play in, not really for swimming. The entrance is a bit tricky, you have to park you car by the temple and then walk down a long pathway on the side of the hill about 100 meters to the hotel. The food there is ok but not great and there are no restaurants nearby but you can bring some food and cook in their kitchen. Don't forget to take ada the tea making workshop

Great authentic place in the middle of the jungle. Very friendly owners with great taste for design. Spot is perfect to relax, also with an open fire at night.

Nice Rooms, the best Service and Company. Organic White Tea, Green Tea and Black Tea cultivated and Grown Side.

If you would like to feel the authentic Bali this is the place to stay. A private home on the hillside owned by a legend of Bali Mr Wawan. You will not be disappointed. It's a jewel in the crown of Bali.. many thanks old friend...
