Excellent. I went just for a beer with a meeting and ended up staying for a meal. Best choice i have made in a while. Brisket sandwich was delicious, and my colleague says his burger was the best he has tasted in Jakarta. Ambiance is very relaxed and the owners themselves are often on hand. This in itself says a lot about a restaurant, and it shows here. I will certainly return.

Having Lunch today with a friend: Ricotta + thyme as starter, Papuan Sausages as main and Alben. Loved the ambience the meals are “straight forward” delicious, but I will give myself more shoots before 4 or 5 stars.

Note: I make reservation with Chope but the waiter that welcoming me did not response to that at all; Not sure if counts as benefit to them (and at “zaman now” this considers as main way to reserve????)
I need to wait a bit and waive a hand right u0026 left before someone approach (it is 12.45 lunch time) and Surely I am not Prince Harry????

Have late lunch with a friend here. (Been here couple of times after the last time)
The services are much better and the food is the same quality as before.

Next time I come over, I hope to see some new items on menu, especially the desert.

Up in smoke knows how to cook meat perfectly. The taste, texture and smells were so good that makes me want to go back here. The deviled eggs are perfect with taste of blue cheese.
Their sausages are da bomb. The ambeince is perfect as I sit beside their open kitchen.
Price wise, worth all the money!
You can use chope for extra discount.
But, as a person who hates crowds and EDM, I won't come here on weekend night ????

We were there for lunch and were disappointed that we did not get to try their brisket platter as they only served it for dinner.
So we ended up trying Up in Smoke Burger. Meat was cooked just right - juicy and medium done.
We also ordered Soft shell crab sandwich. We found it nothing special. Just crispy softshell crab on a bun with some Lay's potato chips.
The star of our meal is the Grilled Red Snapper. It looked dry and unappealing when it was served to us. But suprisingly it is very tasty. The fish is moist inside and cooked perfectly. The baby potatoes they served with is tasty as well.

Legendary beef brisket! ???????????????? Fast service, decent prices, but suspect order accuracy. Beef brisket and boar sausage are by far the best. Side orders have to be ordered separately. Starters arrived at the same time as the main course... And what a sacrilege they put coke in a 23 year rum... ????

Fried rice, Red Snapper, and grilled chicken here are delicious and served in big portions. Chair and desks are actually in good size and proportion, despite our table was unbalance and shaking all the time. Good place for eating and lunch meeting. The menu here is in premium level.

Great BBQ / steak restaurant and most likely the best one in Jakarta. Hands down. The food is top notch and there are plenty of options for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Deserts are amazing as well and the drinks are as good as in any cocktail bar! On weekends there is a live band as well so great to stay on after dinner for some more drinks and live entertainment!
