You want amazing mount merapi photos? This is one place you must visit. if you are lucky and the weather is not foggy then you can see a very nice view of Mount Merapi in this place in the morning. During the day, the scenery is usually covered in fog

one of the best place to enjoy the Merapi. its cold and so calm. better come early in the morning and the evening when the weather is still clear and not cloudy. they also offer camping service. better check their instagram for it.

The view of the countryside is nice, but it was very cloudy the day we went, so we didn't get to see the spectacular view of Merapi as advertised. Still, it was clean and quiet, so it made for a nice day trip.

If you wish to have a travel plan around Jogja and Merapi, this is a good place where you can see the beautiful Merapi mountain.

Super ethereal and I wish I came earlier.
It's a perfect place for camping with your family or friends.

It's a bit cloudy when I came, nonetheless, the view is still breathtaking.

Decent view but very weather dependent. The best time to go is during the morning if you want to avoid fog. Not much to do besides seeing the view. There are a lot of small tourist shops

The fogs start at around 3pm, so please have a note to stand the camp before it. Pleae bring a sweater or hoodie or a pair of socks and a blanket, if you aint good with the cold, as I knew that the temp dropping at night, reach 15°C at least. There's a bathroom here, so its good, and it's kinda near with the parking lot. The rent is cheap, only ±15k IDR for camping ground rent. I attached a photo at the morning around 6-7pm and at the afternoon. The Merapi Mt. seems really clear, cz it's seriously near with the mt. Dont forget to anticipate every step and things if there's an eruption. Worth to camp at Klangon. Oiya theres also some kedai, if you go a little bit lower from the camping ground.
