Well preserved Chinese heritage in Medan. It’s a rather big house but it’s belong to a prominent rich tycoon at its time. The house is a typical Chinese with western influences. Good and interesting experience to walk and enjoy the old furniture and architecture. There’s a Rp35K or USD2,5 cover charge to enter.

A very well-preserved historical/heritage landmark that traces Medan history back to its Malaccan–Malay roots. The tickets for visitors are approximately $3 apiece per person with a free optional guided tour. Very worth to visit since Medan isn’t the most touristy city in Indonesia.

Well it's a nice place cozy loved the atmosphere of that house although I didn't exactly understand who was the owner and what did he give to Medan to people to be immortalized
But it was a good experience overall

This museum was really awesome, I kinda fall in love with this mansion and the story behind of Tjong A Fie Journey

A lot of aesthetics corner for taking a picture and the guidance really helpful

Definitely will comeback for many times

We bought our tickets here in-person. The guide was very helpful and as a history lover, this is a to-go place. Come here with your camera as the place is very beautiful. But please remember to look for the "no photography" signs as there are some rooms you're not allowed to take a picture

One of the mansions from the 18-19 centuries, owned by Tjong A Fie, a Chinese descendant.

Buildings with Chinese designs, are still maintained well and dedicated to Medan City as a heritage building.

The furniture in the mansion is still complete, unfortunately the information is no more contents. However, in some rooms that have good information about who Tjing A Fie is, his activities to the items used... visitors are not allowed to take photos, it's a shame. ????????u200d♀️

Overall this museum is good, but it needs additional detailed information content in 2 or 3 languages, so that visitors can understand more and feel as if they are going back to the 18th century
