Best place to stay in bali
If you wish to stay longer in bali, this is the best place to stay.
Cold and windy
Many restaurants and bar, place to visit, dancing show, and to buy souvenirs too
Unlike kuta and seminyak, driving car or riding mb feels more safer

Ubud Centre was buzzing with life. Lots of activities, restaurants and shopping to be found here. There is a big focus on health and there are plenty of gluten free options which was important for my wife. There is also lots of opportunities to go shopping for local works. There is the monkey Forrest to see, night dance and performances to go to or you can venture to coffee plantations and waterfalls or even an ATV tour.

Mass tourism at its worst, and locals were telling its only at 50 % after covid. Don’t recommend coming here at all, terrible traffic, even the rise terraces seem to be only grown for the “ look” for tourists. I went to ubud to go somewhere less touristic and was I wrong…Went to the beach areas in Denpasar after this ( where I didn’t go first because I thought it’s touristic) and it was bliss and quiet and not many tourists at all.

Ubud BALI Indonesia thumbs up! Very nice sceneries , great variety of food, people ,simple life and preservation of old structures. Highly recommendable to visit this amazing place. i will come again see you soon Ubud.

Spoilt natural beauty. Every morning, evening and night there is burning of who knows what around the area resulting in terrible air quality; the kind that makes you cough and squirm inside, if you’re lucky to have air conditioning. The local population complain of lack of visitors yet they don’t remind themselves that no one is going to fly halfway across the world to have worse of the very bad things they already have at home, and in this case, noise from motorbikes, traffic from cars and horrible air quality is much worse than any other place from which visitors might come and spend some actual money. The locals throw trash into the river, oblivious that in doing so they are killing it. It’s a headache to visit this once beautiful place. There is little that is related to “wellness” anymore around Ubud anymore, unfortunately.

There are some great shops, cultural things to see but the road traffic is appalling and very very noisy.

Also be very careful where to change money and go to an official money changers. Many of the small ones give you bills of 50000 and don't hand over the right amount.

We love Bali, but we love Ubud a little more !
We stayed in Kakul Heritatge Villas. It was quite a tough choice as there are plenty to choose from.
We went around the entire Ubud town centre, temples, markets places, walked the streets, eat at cafes (both locals and mixed), to Padi fields, to the Bali Swing via bike. Walking is by far the best way to see it all.
The views and atmosphere were spectacularly amazing.
People are generally friendly. So much to see, taste and so much to absorb. Assortment of local and international menu to suit almost everyone's need I dare say. Those who are into fast food, try to do without, as there are so much to savor. So much to do.
Spa u0026 yoga too are among the favorites.
Also try out the Ubud Chocolates.
We came home with at least 700 pictures ????????
