Positive: Quiet place. Kitchen Nice veranda. Pleasant athmosphere. Surrounded by green. Somehow we felt at ease.. Negative: The matrass of the single bed was warn out and of low quality They replaced the matrass for something that was not an improvement. Shower with cold and warm water . Only the armature did not work sufficiently. Water that leaked away against the wall..

Positive: owner is very nice always went out of her way to help us and always said yes! even if she didnt have it she will ask someone to help. breakfast is nice and cheap and she can make other things if you request too. our room didnt have ac and we asked for an ac room and she transferred us to an ac room for a little extra.. Negative: it could be a bit closer. its about 5-10 min walk to Ubud mainroad/centre. if that doesnt bother you then its good!.

Great location, just outside of the main village so much quieter for the most part. Nice staff, nice breakfast, big and comfy rooms, hot and cold water showers. Had a bit of an ant issue in the bathroom but nothing too dramatic and bugs in the rooms are generally not a surprise in Asia. Overall very good stay!

I loved my stay here and didn’t want to leave. It’s enough distance from central ubud to be quieter, but still walkable into the centre. My room was clean, amazing air con, hot and powerful shower, good breakfast choice, and staff were amazing. They stay
overnight so felt safe even though I travelled alone. The garden is gorgeous.

Positive: It was a comfortable accommodation with a beautiful garden, secluded from the busy areas therefore quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful.. Negative: The staff was great, but sometimes difficult to find..

We loved our stay here!
Breakfast was included every morning. We had coffee and tea on the outside table with a hot water kettle that was hot and ready to use everyday!
Great location, only a few minutes to the Ubud Markets and monkey forest.
Our room was serviced each day.
The shower was amazing, and the water pressure was good!
Would definitely stay again

I have been staying at Gusti Kaler House (Jl. Sri Wedari, Ubud) during my previous visits to Ubud, Bali. Pondok Badri belongs to the same Balinese family. They are always very friendly and helpful. This time they offered me a room in this new place (Pondok Badri, built recently). The room was spacious, very clean (cleaned daily), included good hot water system, well functioning AC system. Their room charges always include breakfast and it is always a good breakfast. Ayu, the friendly lady who prepared the breakfast and looked after the guest needs, speaks very good English. I stayed in the room 5 (this room is smaller than all other room, also bit cheaper) and only thing I missed was a small cupboard or shelf to put my clothes etc. The owner said he is planning to install some shelves in this room. I stayed there for 5 nights and I really enjoyed my stay there.
