The hotel definitely is at a more quiet side of Ubud. You can walk to the palace in about 15 mins. Sidewalks are non existent, but still no problem if you are not too afraid of walking on the streets. There are some nice restaurants close by, so no need to always walk to the center. Rooms are spacious and the area of the hotel is really nice. Pool is lovely. They also have a spa which has reasonable prices.
The cleanliness of the rooms could definitely be improved. As nice as "open" bathrooms are, you fall victim to mosquitos when you just go for a pee. ;) Unfortunately we had a couple rainy days, so the bathroom floor was constantly wet, with small kids this is a constant danger of slipping.
We also had regular visits of these big ants in our room. Not the biggest problem in the world, but it would have been nicer without them... Oh and wifi could definitely use a boost. Watching a movie during the times it rained was a a pain.
2 adults, 2 children u003c4years this place was good. Swimming for the kids, everything in walking distance, quiet side of Ubud. Still next time I would look for an alternative, since we didn't like the room that much.
