I booked through the website of Airy and so I didn’t know the room was a part of the Ananda Beach Resort.
If I would have known that, I would have a clear view on what to expect; but I didn’t and it was a serious disappointment.
What was wrong:
- the door was broken and fixed with ducktape;
- the room smelled;
- there was mould on the walls and on the shower curtain;
- the bathroom floor was completely wet when we arrived, toilet included;
- an empty roll of toilet paper;
- the paint was coming of the walls plus the walls were extremely dirty;
- the room was clearly not cleaned in years;
- we had just a duvet and no sheets for it, so we were supposed to use a duvet in which a lot of other people slept without having it washed in between;
- there was so much rust ont the shower head and the tap of the bath that I didn’t know it was even possible.
Because of this I contacted Airy because they promise “clean” rooms.
The answer that I received was that they don’t refund or change dates and that they were sorry for the inconvenience. They still contacted the hotel apparently, but I didn’t want to make a scene with the hotel because it was through Airy that I’ve booked.
I will never use Airy again because of the zero customer service and the false promises.
