The Griya Sanur isn't too bad for what you pay. Maybe it doesn't deserve a 2 star review. Was thinking about giving it 3 until I was leaving and saw that all the employees blocked my bike in with theirs. For as many tourists that come to Bali, I don't understand how so many hotel staff still don't get hospitality.
The rooms were fine, very plain, but relatively clean. They are a bit worn, but the bed was comfortable and the shower very strong. I stayed 2 nights and couldn't sleep either night due to all the mosquitos in my room. Got eaten alive. For that reason alone, I wouldn't stay here again.
The staff seemed nice, though I would have appreciated them asking me how my stay was when I checked out.
The hotel has excellent access and is easy to find, but it's on the wrong side of the bypass to access the beach. I wouldn't cross it with a family.
The Griya is not a place to hang out. It just serves as a place to sleep for the night and unfortunately, because of the bugs, I didn't get much of that.
