The West Irian Liberation Monument is a monument built to commemorate the Trikora fighters and the people of West Irian who chose to become part of the Republic of Indonesia. This monument is in the middle of Lapangan Banteng and is 35 meters high. The shape of the monument is a statue made of bronze.

People can enjoy the dancing fountain every weekend at night. The show started at 18.30 an 19.30

Nice open space for hanging out in the heart of Jakarta city. Although, it will be very hot if you go there when the sun is out. The best time to go here is either at morning for a short run/walk, or at afternoon if you just want to enjoy the place with family and friends.

It's a nice park located in lapangan Banteng, near to Jakart Catedral church and Borobudur hotel.I always go to this park for running or just walking.On Sunday there is a fountain show here and mostly crowded.

Nice place to hangout on saturday night with family, friend or lover. Here you can watch the dancing fountain. It's free. One of the historical place in Jakarta. Also you can taking a good photos here. There's 3 session of the dancing fountain show. Every show, it's only 15 minutes. So don't miss it! I came here on the 3rd session, on 19.15.

This monument was built to commemorate the struggle of the Trikora fighters and the people of West Papua against the Dutch occupation.nowdays people's using for sports activities or just taking photograph. This is open space with the amphitheater style. There are public facilities such as toilets, bathrooms, mosques, parking ,Dancing Water fountain, and parks.

nice public area for any kind activity outdoor like jogging, photography, sight seeing dancing fountain at 18:30 pm and 19:00 pm also just enjoyed or chill out with family. I took some pictures when sunset time.

Great amusement and city park in the middle of Jakarta city. Free public entertainment, we can enjoy dancing fountain every saturday and sunday night, jogging track, playground for kids. A great place to commemorate and understand abouy the liberation history of West Irian.
