Best place to see the turtle laying eggs and join the hatchlings release. It is better to stay in the National Park area which is closer to the beach

It’s quite off and take some time to reach, but our stay at Sukamade (with the luck of seeing a giant turtle laying eggs) was definitely the highlight of our Indonesian trip! There’s also beautiful rainforest in the vicinity with remains of houses from before the tsunami, however the forest is really dense so dont walk alone or you might get lost. The beach itself is rather amazing. 100% recommended!

Great experience to watch turtles lay there eggs at night and release baby turtles in the morning.

Dirty beach(( nothing to see.
Expensive tickets to national park.
Very bad road inside the park.
