great location- Ive stayed in many different locations and find this is one of the better suited to us. Outside renovations been going on for years. Grounds aren't looked after as they used to but big and spacious. Pools are sparkling and surroundings being cleaned and updated. Fabulous looking hand carved walls surrounding property. Excellent, updated about 5 years ago restaurant. And thats where it stops. Ive stayed here many times over 20 years and the rooms have not been touched in that time. My bed was lacking springs that I put my pillow on the side so I wouldn't roll off during the night. Grey sheets/towels- one each per day. Dark we had to ask for light bulbs. Hardly any water for shower. One complimentary shampoo for whole of stay. No bottled water offered first day and had to go out and buy it. Most of all was the breakfast- or the lack of. In the past it was always adequate. we were very disappointed and will never stay here again-

Ageing hotel in dire need of investment. Lovely setting and staff are so friendly.
Pool area very nice and feels authentically Balinese. However room is dated, restaurant very poor (don't bother with breakfast...terrible) and feels like the poor relative compared to other beachfront hotels in Legian.

Excellent staff...always smiling and ready to help..lot of renovation ongoing for improvement.
COVID-19 has hit hard, breakfast is same everyday not much choice.
Pool is good and beach is walking distance.

Service is amazing, simply beautiful staff. Breakfast lovely. Pools and gardens just beautiful. Location is perfect. Bali hotels have been locked up for 2 years, we all need to give them a chance. Anyway it is amazing here been here 5 days still have 4 nights to go. I'll be back, oh I suffer Ocd lol and everything is just perfect.

Just returned from 10 nights at Melasti Resort u0026 spa. While original room was not to our liking( very very old u0026 in need of a lot of TLC) staff were very accommodating u0026 we upgraded to a superior room in a partly renovated block overlooking main pool area. After issues with bathroom flooding ( shower over narrow bath) we moved again to ground floor room opposite lobby. Again in need of renovation but very comfortable. Staff are amazing, always smilingu0026 friendly. Special thanks to Sri in the office who always had the most magnificent smile, dear I Ketut Artawan and others who serviced our room daily. Nothing was too much trouble. Yes hotel is old and in much need of update (expected after being closed for 2 yrs) but it’s clean u0026 comfortable. Walk through to beach, shops/transport/eateries at front door. Thankyou Melasti. We will be back

Not the best of hotels. Staff friendliness is average. Wifi reception is terrible. Half the lights in our room didn’t work and same goes for the power points in the room. Breakfast is a set menu and food quality was below average.

The location is ok, I wouldn't recommend for much more, they have great resorts within walking distance too, worth paying extra to stay somewhere else.
The staff were friendly, but the rooms desperately need renovations, we had joining rooms, my showerhead was blocked had about 6 streams of water, other room the shower head fell off and hit my friend. The rooms are very dated and the beds are hard. You have to carry a key with a wooden block which is frustrating, same length as my samsung.

The breakfast was disappointing, the one time we had meat it was deep fried chicken, the omelette bar was onion and tomato as options, we just walked down the road and had breakfast.

We were far from all of our activities like quad bikes, rafting, the main temples etc are in Ubud, this was out fault but heads up if you do any of the adventures activities.

Pay the extra money and stay at another resort. You will be happy yoh did.
