BIMC Hospital - Emergency

This hospital should be closed. Take your money. Wait hours for results in an emergency. One could die. I will not recommend this hospital

For 11 Mio. a night I got an extremely small room without windows. AC was not working properly, so the air inside was very bad. Nurse station directly in front of the room, chatting and joking very loud all day (and evening) long. So annoying!
You can imagine that this is not the place where you want to recover from your Dengue fever.
Treatment was ok I think.
In 3 days I saw a doctor only twice though...

Good -
Clean and very friendly hospital staff including the nursing staff. - 5 on 5 for that.

Bad -
The price is exorbitant. A normal dressing cost IDR 3.4 Mio - fees never heard of before. To add to it, the follow up visit which is less than 24 hours from the first visit is being charged again along with re-dressing of the wound to check for any infection - something I have never encountered before. Seems it’s more of money making than service in this hospital. I would definitely rate it 1 on 5

At this price I am compelled to rate the hospital 2.

We arrives and were immediately taken care of at the front desk. Then we went into the doctor’s office and the nurse took the vitals. The doctor was very knowledgeable and kind, we got a blood test and were in and out in less than an hour. Bill came to $61 USD.

I had quite major accident at home slipped and damaged and spilt my knee open on a cement step, ambulance and drs arrived in no time, called BIMC ambulance service direct. Ambulance arrived with the ER doctor, whom later looked after me in ER till I was admitted. Service was not overly expensive expensive although I have Expatriate Health Insurance, which covered ambulance how ever not call out for ER dr, even though I was admitted..well Ambulance and ER team for assisting me so well last night.. and doing a amazing job.

My friend died in your hospital because his credit card had an issue.
Unbelievable in 2020 that someone can die for heart attack at 35 years old.and nothing was done to help him..
Money, only money is talking at your place. No place for real human behavior..

Modern hospital with great facilities and hospitality..I was sent to this hospital by the immigration officer for body xray..somehow the radiographer didn't even ask me my last menstrual period..but that's ok I thought it's a must question..anyway they have a great coffee machine at the lobby.. everything was done within 30 minutes
