A real hidden gem, with a really good spread with f food. Had the fried fish and chicken soup (Ayam soto). Both were really delish and fantastic choices, the drinks were also really good however it was not really cold.

Cheap place to eat with a large menu of Indonesian and some western food. For the cheap price, it was good food. However, we did have a chicken steak served raw to us so I'd recommend you avoid the meat options.

In the pleasantly busy Sosro neighborhood you will find the Superman restaurant in one of the many alleys. A restaurant that seems to attract mainly western tourists, perhaps because of the menu that not only contains Indonesian dishes but also Western dishes, but certainly also because of the very affordable prices. A simple, but nicely decorated restaurant with fast service.

The Superman is a very old Restaurant in the heart of Jogja, and offers a variety of food, ranging from Western to Indonesian. The place is quite cozy and very quiet. Ideal for couples/families. Price is decent for this type of food. Kind staff :-)

Serving was quick (only guest) but not particularly friendly, the glass was dirty inside and the gado gado rather tasteless, also the tempeh and tofu a bit too fermented for my taste.

While I found the food pretty average the portions were massive for the very reasonable price. If you're hungry and you aren't after a gourmet experience this is the place for you.
