You might not easily find this coffee joint, but as you are already in Abu Bakar Ali road try to look for “The Canopy” a cafe, an old colonial building with the neon sign you won’t fail to notice, Ray Coffee is adjoining on the right side of the building, the patio of The Canopy you may say ????if you come from Kridosono Stadium direction the moment you see The Canopy you will right away see the entrance to Ray Coffee.
My first time visit I entered the Canopy, but a young lady escorted me through its backdoor, they said both The Canopy and Ray Coffee operate under one management.
I had my espresso followed by a cup of tubruk of a single origin northern Sumatera arabica bean. That was a really good coffee prepared really good ... I came back again the day after before going to Jogjarockarta Festival - for the same cup of coffee as the day before and yes I got it exactly the same satisfaction the same fulfillment. That pump my soul and spirit up high to dive into Jogjarockarta Festival ????????
If you see The Canopy’s interior joyful, colourful, like you were entering a flower garden, Ray Coffee’s interior is simple concrete gray with straight forward furnitures ... The Coffee that counts here. A girl friend said she like the latte .. maybe I’ll try it next time. Great job Ray. Please stay great until my next visit to Jogja, for Jogjarockarta and JVWF. ????????
