Nice place to take pictures. Especially for photo hunters and instagram. This is a public place so there are no tickets to enter the area.

Cool place for taking a picture. It is one of the historical tourist attractions located in old city of Jakarta.
It is called as toko merah because its appearance as an old holland colonial style building and can be easily spotted due to its wall that constructed using red bricks

I used to cycling around this area. It has a historical vibe around it. I can imagine a bit how it looked back in the colonial era with the Dutch. I think the surrounding area is an important place on those days.

Good historical building, with signature dark red colour and huge doors. Sadly we cannot go inside to see the real history of the building itself, and the porch does not have any cover, so expect unpleasant heat during sunny day.

It's one of historical building in Jakarta. It has been changed functions few times. Owned by personal or even company. But the building is still pretty.

It must be very big building although I just can see from the window. Because it's very rare this building is opened for public.

Toko Merah (Indonesian "Red Shop") is a Dutch colonial landmark in Jakarta Old Town, Indonesia. Built in 1730, it is one of the oldest buildings in Jakarta. The building is located on the west side of the main canal Kali Besar. The building's red color contributes to its current name.
