I ordered Karamiso Chicken Ramen instead of the iconic menu Kazan Ramen because I don't have enough money to pay 2x times cost. Another reason was that I had to spend more money in buying books at Big Bad Wolf Book 2019 after that ????. Kazan (かざん) means volcano in Japanese, therefore the menu is served like volcano with red lava comes out. However, I really recommend you to order Kazan Ramen.
???? The Karamiso broth tasted thick, enriched with a combination of a litte bit sour and salty miso (likely almost similar with tauco taste) plus ginger. Miso ramen had different taste with miso soup. The noodle texture had a good quality, not so hard or soft for firmness parameter, medium size ramen with not so elastic texture in bite. It was served with toppongs of dried nori, chopped leeks, a half ajitsuke tamago, boiled chicken, peeled corn, sprout, and red miso paste. To complement your ramen taste, you can add condiment i.e. chili powder, pepper, salt, shoyu, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, chili oil, and garlic pickle.
???? Besides that, I also ordered iced-green tea becaue it was free flow. It was just like other green tea, standard taste.
Kazan Ramen at AEON BSD City is halal, no pork or lard. It has open kitchen concept, thus you can look the cooking process while waiting your order to be served. All the staff, especially waiters and cashiers are very helpful and friendly. When your green tea glass is empty, waiters will offer to refill as you want.
Price of menus in Kazan Ramen is cheaper compared to other surrounding ramen village. You need to spend before tax price of approximately Rp 9.000 - 15.000 to buy drinks, Rp 50.000 - Rp 100.000 to buy foods, and Rp 30.000 for desserts.
