Came here as recommended by the locals. Yes, it taste like sate and with own uniqueness. My only suggestion as a foreigner who loves food, if the internal layout of the eatery can be improved, surely the dining atmosphere will be be improved too. Customers should be able to enjoy satay without the need for smoke the whole area which is worse than cigarette smoke.

First time visiting this famous satay outlet in Surabaya. not a big fan of food with coconut crumbs seasoning, but this one's a pass. Ordered beef/fat satay, some parts are hard to chew otherwise it's okay. Liked the soy sauce seasoning.
The smoke from grilling fills the room u0026 you'll leave with clothes smelled of it. Price is standard, there are pictures u0026 newspaper articles framed on the wall typical of famous family owned business.

Flavorful satay
The portion is quite a lot and the price is reasonable
Expect long queue during lunch and dinner time

A recommended place to eat coconut satay: chicken and beef. It's has a unique taste, yet delicious. It's savory, unlike the satay from Central Java which is sweet.

The chicken sate was nice. The beef sate has to much fat in it. Food was nice. The sate was unique because it was grill using coconut flake and it served with the peanut sauce.

Favourite satay when i visit surabaya .
there is 2 type satay, meat (cow) or chicken. those 2 has very authentic taste but i prefer the chicken. available rice and lontong.
1 portion is 10 pins with price around 30k.
no big parking lot, you can order by gojek also because need to quite queue sometimes.
