For those, who like Indonesian cuisine, MJS can be an option.

Before the pandemic era, the MJS is a place to stop by waiting for 3in1. now maybe it will be a different story because it has turned into odd-even.

Its vintage concept with a traditional Javanese atmosphere instantly makes the heart feel comfortable. The presentation of okulele and bass sounds as residence music. Make u feel like home.

For the price it depends on how much you want to eat, but what is clear is that it won't be more expensive than eating at pizza hut or fast food restaurants.

It was my first time here and here is the conclusion :
Pros:
- varians of dish and beverage, seriously it confused me to choose.
- affordable price wise, between 15k - 50k
- unique ambiance, there is a lot things to see
- spicy lover would be love here ! the taste was so good !!

Cons
- limited parking lot, but they provided free vallet i guess
- some main menu are sold out early in weekend.

Really love the decorations, so vintage all over the area.
You have to make reservation first especially on weekend during lunch or dinner time.
Foods taste are delicious and affordable.
There is also live music.
Might come back here later for kopi susu and kue cubit

First time coming to Warung Mbah Jingkrak @ Setiabudi branch! Interrior is very exotic with lots of spots to take some photos. It's also super spacious with lots of seats, but I recommend in the outdoor one near the pool.

Taste is so-so. I tried Ayam Serundeng + Oncom + Bakwan Jagung + Sambal Terasi.

The place looks like a small restaurant from upfront, with its small parking space, but once you got in you'll be surprised. But hey don't worry about parking, they provide FREE valet service.
The place, is a refurbished old house, they kept most of the essentials as it was such as doors,walls and high ceiling. Inside is like a time machine full of trinkets from time gone by, I had so much fun with my daughter, she was trying to guess every odd thing she saw here (imagine how to explain a stamp for the new generations). There's a set of Javanese puppet dolls (wayang kulit), a collection of baseball caps, butterfly collections, etc.
The food is tasty! They use only free ranged chicken, cooked well, not to crispy but the seasoning sipped well into the meat. Seriously lots of selection of food! What I don't recommend is the krecek. The rest like, selections of chickens, ducks, lungs (yes cow's lung), Tempe,tofu, ribs, meat soup, and all other selection my big fan ordered, were good!
My family was seated in semi outdoor seating, in front of the coffee stall,which I think is the best seat to listen to the life music of traditional Javanese songs and easy to order drinks and food. They have outdoor seating near the shallow pool at the back.
I really recommend this place for you who want to feel a bit of Javanese culture such as food and songs (tembang).

My favorite javanese restaurant in Jakarta. Love the nasi uduk with the fried onion, ayam setan, ayam wewe, sambel demit, ikan wader, terong. Pricey but I really love the food. Still worth it.

The menu so variave, authenticity taste indonesia foods and my favo is ayam sambal ijo????
Cozy place, good ambiance, live music, good service, but parking space is very limited, most of all parking on side of the street
