This place has amazing food. Our ox tail, lumpia, nasi goreng, grilled chicken were delightful and exemplified top notch Indonesian cuisine. But all this was was let down with the haphazard serving of our food where things didn't come together and dishes were missing. Granted, Plataran was packed last night and the back of house seem to struggle to cope with the demand of big groups. Was disappointed to not have had the duck with manggis sauce, which we waited a long time for and was deemed unavailable in the end. The tape bakar was delicious. For this price range, the expectation is high, close to perfection, and Plataran was a slight disappointment in this instance.

Nice ambience with Javanese wooden carved, food was fair, I like "Udang Ramayana" and "Mie Panjang Umur", Ikan Gurame Nusantara was too sour for me and tauge ikan asin tastes flat.

A recommended Luxurious Indonesian Restaurant in Jakarta. Right place for lunch/dinner meeting especially if your potential clients are coming from other country. Most of my clients were amazed with the restaurant interior, delicious foods, the atmosphere and they're willing to come back.
Please keep the great taste and high level service from the restaurant staff

We had a very nice dinner at Plataran Dharmawangsa. The Indonesian dishes that we ordered:
Salad Putri Dewi,
Ayam Betutu,
Sei and
Oxtail Soup
were very tasty and well presented.

The ambience and the mood were very nice and warm. The Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. A recommended place for family dinner.

Dine in for my sister’s birthday. Very friendly waitress, nice ambiance (clean toilet), family friendly restaurant. However, I give 4 stars since one of the foods (mie panjang umur) that we ordered is a little bit salty. I suggest to come around at 18.00 to see their ritual (switching off the light, a sound of traditional music in the background, and some of the waiters walk around with a candle - very mystical)

The javanese culture and ambience is really strong with wooden carved door and ornament (gebyok). The food is delicious (my favorite is Udang Gandum / Shrimp with oats, and kopyor durian). It has a nice musholla that we can use and located quite close to the dining area.
Based on my experience, having dinner with full table was less comfy because of the air is quite hot.
