Bright rice.. nasi padang.. one of the most visited culinary place to visit. Taste good, bit pricey but worth for every single penny!

Photo of Nasi Tunjang, served in a plate, mixed on the rice, with all the standard accompanying vegetables mix dippen in heavy broth, a wad of spicy tangy green chilli, and a dash of Rendang spices.

Another option is to have it served separately from the rice, in a bowl of its own with the heavy curry broth.

Overall palate of Budi Jaya can be considered less Minang (the origin of these food) and more appealing to the taste buds of Java islands inhabitants which prefers a more softer, moisty and is generally sweeter.

Just like any other Padang/Minang restaurant, you are free to ask additional rice and the vegetables mixes or the green chilli.

The food is quite tasty. It is damois for its chicken curry. If you bought the complete rice, vegetables n a piece of rendang orang chicken curry wrapped in banana leaves, it can stand for up to 4 hours and still taste good.

Often having lunch here, because my office is near from Budi Jaya. The taste is quite suitable for me, as well as the price. Come visit and taste their menu

Tastes just like Sederhana, but way more affordable. One of my favorite padang restaurant in Jakarta.
