You get different stalls in the morning vs night. Just sit in one of the coffee shops in there and order food from the drink stall owner who will take care of it for you. The food can be from other stalls. No restrictions on outside food from neighbours. Highly recommended venue when you come to Medan. One stop shop for all the best char kway teow etc.
Char kway teow and the char chee cheong fan has nice wok hei. Not too heavy. Lap cheong is like the liver kind. Works well.
Hokkein mee was not bad but mie tiong sim really stood out. Bakmie was exceptional too. Full of pork lard like the way I like it.

The most hi grade food street in taste u0026 price you must visit at night in Medan. You can find many selection to choose from steam chicken porridge or fried/roasted chicken rice, to fried rice noodle called Kwetiaw in Hokkian dialect, and Hokkian prawn noodle, wonton noodle, and so on.
