It has good service. Located near the shopping mall. It has big ballroom. But eyes can distinguish an old hotel. Probably need more renovation or reinvent the hotel theme in order to drawn more people.

One of the oldest hotels in the city of Makassar. Strategically located in the city downtown right next to Ratu Indah Mall. Definitely has seen its better days, management should really consider major makeover if they want to compete with other newer competitors. Dirty stains and torn carpets everywhere. The room is very big though with this price range. Breakfast is so so. If you have multiple gadgets, you’ll definitely get frustrated with the super limited power outlet in the room.

A fake 5 star hotel.

Half of the 4 elevators don't work. The decorations are dated and desperately needing upgrade.
The room is old and three light switches don't work. The bed has lost its springiness. Television has 20 channels and 15 of them are just local stations.

Toiletries provided is that of a budget hotel standard. Wi-fi is a joke and switches off every 2-3 minutes and one must login again. After 10 minutes and 4 logins...I gave up.

Breakfast is maybe OK for a 3 star hotel. One staff at the entrance, one wait staff who also cooks the eggs.

I've been in no-star hotels with more vibrance. The only slight upside is that the hotel is directly beside a reasonable mall.

Sahid Jaya is at best a 2 star hotel. Not worth the money nor the effort to even show up. Will never come back here.

recommended for families with small kids..

it is not close to pantai losari, it is in the region which was center of the city. it is old hotel so the room is wider than other or newest hotel. spouse with two kids can stay in the deluxe room. the hotel is beside of mall ratu indah, luxury mall i guess that has nice food court ..
the swiming pool is not big for adult but acceptable for kids and toddlers .. with the price of standard/deluxe room it is worthed

Miss this place very much. Good serving both for room and breakfast. It is fully recommended by me. You will be able to access one of famous mall in Makassar beside the hotel.

I booked for 3 nights online, but fled the hotel after one night. Didn't care about getting a refund. That says enough, don't you think?
Really bad, smelly (walhalla for smokers) rooms. Dirty swimming pool and couldn't make anything out the breakfast. Even though the staff is very friendly, they cannot fix the outdated, dirty and just depressing hotel.

If you love to shopping then it's probably a good place to stay remember it's really close to a shopping mall called MaRI, the room is somehow looks a bit old. And so does the ballroom.
