The place, the ambiance, everything is magic there. Our cooking was super good and give us ideas for future recepices when we will be back home. A must go place! And it's a super fair price!

The place is authentic balinese village.

This was a real immersive activity to understand a bit of Bali's culture.

Real good experience

We decided to enjoy a cookery class. Rather than s resort or restaurant, we picked Umah Padi Cooking Class which is held in the middle of beautiful rice fields

We visited the local market to learn about ingredients, then set to work.
We prepared traditional yellow paste and peanut sauce. Then we made chicken soup, gado gado, traditional satay, pepes and fried banana as a dessert. I love the satay very much. They call it Satay Lilit and how to make it is also unique. Intan teach us very well
I highly recommend Umah Padi Cooking Class. You will have a fantastic time.

We had a great time spending the morning at the market and then preparing six different, authentic indonesian dishes at the beautifully located cooking school! The food was delicious and the cooking super fun!! We would do it again and can only recommend it!

We tried this cooking class because we want to do the market tour. We visited un tourists market. Its really traditional market. Intan help us to explain everything. Also, we buy local snack made by rice flour. After that, we directly going to the cooking class nearby. I’m not imagine the place is look like this (i put some pictures). Its absolutely beautiful and surrounded by rice field. Intan tell us about her family and habbiy of local Bali. It was so comfortable activity. Honestly, in the beginning when we start, me and my boyfriend little bit nervous about the cooking, Intan can make it very easy and we enjoyed it. The food? The taste is out of what I expected. It totally delicious. I don't want to say anything only thank you so much for your hospitality and make us so happy.

I have been to Bali many times and I have done many cooking classes all of which offer something wonderful, but in November i did the Umah Padi cooking class and can honestly recommend this cooking class over so many others. it offers you a true Balinese experience where you learn about community, family and cooking and is hosted by a wonderful teacher. it is a truly wonderful experience and i can highly recommend it. The foods are fabulous. You will enjoy this experience over so many others. if you have a day to do this do it!!

My husband and I recently went to Bali for our honeymoon. We found out about this cooking class through TripAdvisor. It was amazing! It was entertaining, educational and interesting day. Seeing the market through the eyes of a local was wonderful.

How about the location where we cook?
I like the concept of this place. A clean and comfortable outdoor kitchen, a peaceful atmosphere, an expert and friendly teacher and we cook and have lunch surrounded by beautiful rice fields. And they have a small garden planted with several ingredients for cooking. Very unique.

The insights we got into the Balinese way of life, culture and heritage were interesting and the cooking and food experience topped off a wonderful day. I can't wait to get home and try some of the dishes!

My husband and I booked this Umah Padi cooking class couple weeks ago. Wow what can we say, we met the amazing Intan and her husband at the market just 5 minutes from her home and instantly felt like we had known her for years so super jolly and chatty we spent time walking around the market. The people were amazing! So nice, so helpful and really treated us like family. The food we cooked was fresh and delicious. I cannot say enough about this! Was the best overall experience in Bali!
