This place is unique and exotic within an unspoilt jungle setting. This is a fantastic reset place with the sounds and lushness of nature all around you. Staff friendly, food is lovely, yoga classes great, gondola transport is unique and fun. Great couples environment with no screaming kids.
Highly recommended and located away from the Ubud central noise and traffic.
Our room was beautiful - large, with a view to the jungle treetops. Pool is cool and spectacularly located. Need I go on?

Absolutely stunning place, in middle of the jungle. We loved that it’s a small resort so we could chill out more peacefully. All gardens are very neat, pool is very beautiful, staff extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the (free) yoga sunset in a bamboo gazebo in front of rice terraces (amazing location to practice yoga). Also, we very much loved the body massage (surrounded by just the forest) and the jacuzzi straight after the massage. Amazing combo - totally recommended it. Huge well done to the 2 ladies who gave us the best massage.
Although, I decided to put “only” 4 stars for 2 reasons:
1: the lift that brought us to the pool has no instructions on how to use it. We’d recommend to print and laminate indications on how to use it (few times we had to wait a lot for the lift to come up as people left the gate opened and for this the lift wasn’t working).
2: we were very disappointed by the food. At breakfast time, choices and variety were very limited and everything was just ok. We had dinner there twice and both nights we thought the food was just eatable. Definitely we were excepting more quality in a 5* hotel.
Overall, amazing place but please improve the food service.

The resort was absolutely stunning, the views were breathtaking and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Due to being in the jungle we had some unexpected visitors in our room which wasn't ideal (mice and ants). The location was amazing, but it was quite isolating, it wasn't easy to go anywhere without a driver being ordered.

The place is beautiful, the resort is clean (despite so much ants in the rooms) and the staff is nice. Avoid the spa, very expensive and not so good (go in town better). Be careful of your check out, they like to mistake (charge more than you take...). The staff is nice but i guess the owner doesn't care about to see you again (charged me 300 000 rp for an umbrella lost but already broken and add some taxes you don't see on the menu...). For sure i will not come back. I saw a bad review for the spa about 2 years ago and they didn't try to correct it...

So first of all this resort is absolutely stunning. The views are beautiful, the rooms are nice and you are nestled in the jungle. That being said… you are actually trapped in the jungle at a resort with no gym, mediocre (at best) food, and terrible, expensive drinks. No scooter rental available and only 2 shuttles to and from Ubud are available in the morning and early afternoon, no evening shuttle. My partner and I splurged on our vacation and spent 3 nights here and after my initial photo taking sesh it was pretty depressing. $800 for the room, plus another $700 for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks, with no other food options beyond their more expensive sister resort, the Hanging Gardens. Not nearly as luxurious and awesome as it should be and we really wanted to love it. We spent a month in Bali and stayed in several different places. Every single other place we stayed which were all $50 and under per night were far better overall. The food and drinks were the worst BY FAR in terms of quality/options while also being the most expensive. Inconsistent flavors, preparations, sometimes with ice, sometimes not. I want to mention that the staff were wonderful and so nice/attentive/lovely so our experience has nothing to do with the overall service; we were treated very well. It seems like the owner of this place cuts a lot of corners to make money. I’m very curious where all the money we spent at this resort actually goes. I would say buy a day pass and enjoy the beautiful pool, take some pictures and then head down to central Ubud where you have tons of way better options that are far cheaper.

Great place to stay in the middle of the jungle. It is really an extremely nice experience. The funicular and the view from there is amazing!
If you looking for a non touristic spot to stay, relax and view ubud, this is where you should stay.
They also have their own rice fields and organize tours to visit them.

Note that the location is a bit difficult to reach and out of ubud!

Very isolated in the woods. lives up to its name! Very relaxing and chill. Rooms are quite pricey but totally worth the stay. Just rmb to bring food before getting to the resort. Sorry but the food is extremely overpriced. But great resort for a getaway ????
