Went to Papillon for Valentines Day. We really love this French Resturant with a great view on the second floor.
We ordered one of the Valentines day set which had the following:
Appetisers: Duck Foie Gras with Pear Chutney and Toasted Gingerbread
Main: Chicken breast with truffle sauce, asparagus and baby potatoes
Dessert: Chocolate mousse and Ginger Torch Sorbet
We also ordered a few more al carte items:
Mahi-Mahi Appetisers, Beef with Fries Mains and Caramel Mille-Feuille Dessert.
The appetisers were really great and it was a great start to our meal. The Chicken breast was done really well, it soft and tender and the truffle sauce was lovely. The beef was also cooked perfectly based on our preference of medium rare.
Lastly, the desserts were a great finish to the meal. The Chocolate mousse and ginger sorbet was a nice contrast to each other. the Caramel Mille-feuille was done perfectly love how the pastry crispy was still crispy.
I been to several western restaurants in Ubud and this is really the best restaurant with an affordable price. Didn’t manage to meet the owner/chef, will be giving my compliments through this review.
If I am in Ubud, I will be back!
