Museum date with friend! There’s no doubt that Galeri Nasional has an impeccable art collections, mostly paintings. It’s free too, so a highly recommended place to visit with friends or loved ones. However, you have to make reservations first and not be late. You’ll only have 50 min-ish in one session which honestly is not enough to explore all the collections. I don’t know if we can book for 2 sessions which would be very helpful to prolong your visit, hehe, maybe you can try this trick????????

The reservation system during the pandemic is really good and neat. Please keep in mind you have to do your reservation max. D-1 before your visit, kindly check their social media/official website to do so.

The staffs were all helpful and made sure we were aware of the rules. Because each day's visit is divided into several sessions, each session doesn't have that many visitors. Each session is 55 minutes long. When I came here, there was an ongoing exhibition called "Para Sekutu yang Tidak Bisa Berkata Tidak". So I went to 2 separate exhibitions in 1 day, their permanent exhibition and the ongoing periodic exhibition.

Its a must-visit for a museumgoer, the artworks shown and the overall ambience of the gallery are soothly pleasing and calming.

Galeri Nasional has good collections, mostly paintings. And the ticket is free, so higly recommended place to visit with your friends.

There's an event here called "Botanical Art: Evoking the beauty of science". The event is held from July 08 to August 08, 2022 from 10AM to 7PM. If you like painting, I think it's a must-see event. it's also good for us who would like to study more about various Indonesian Flora.

The permanent exhibition is extraordinary. The history of painting and sculpture from the time of Raden Saleh, to the latest popular artist. Although what is shown are reproduction paintings, It does not cause disappointment. For those who are interested in the development of Indonesian art, must visit this site..

A well curated galery, with plentiful historic arts from Indonesia and overseas. The limited exhibition also hold a well rounded curated art collections. You should reserved at least a day before. They hold quite a lot of activities too (ex: Kamis Sketsa)..
