COVID took a beating on the mall with closing businesses but they are remodeling and improving for a brighter future. This was a great mall before COVID and it still has a pulse and will come back strong! Grocery store on bottom level has everything you can need, 2 pharmacies, plenty of restaurant’s and some cool stores and a department store.

Legendary mall since I was in elementary school. Until now, sometimes I go there just to visit the pet shop or hypermart. By the way, there're rumours about this place closing, and it's all just rumours, cause they start renovating the place. It'll be more elegant then. FYI, the pet shop are moved to 6th floor. They have their own sections and will have their own parking lots. Think after all this renovating done, Gajah Mada Plaza will be one of those legendary malls in Jakarta's chinatown area.

Its good to see Gajah Mada Plaza is renovating its building. However, Gajah Mada Plaza needs to speed up the renovation. They should upgrade its service and cleanliness as well.

A mall that is currently being renovated, but still operates. It is no longer one of the malls that is interesting for the public eye. Came there to just observe the building and to see their swimming pool and their pet shops.

It used to be one of very famous shopping center in Jakarta but since it didnot have much renovation, this place look so old and not well maintained. Even though this place is not very good but there are many people come here to eat, buy groceries and shopping. Do not expect too much for this place. Security only at main entrance. The items at their supermarket are limited. Luckily this place have several restaurant and food stands that serves good foods.

Nearest mall from my home, i have been there since i was 4. There are many restaurants, cafes and other shops. I always go there every sunday because my church is there. Not recommended to hang out because it's quite boring xd. There are pet shops on the first floor. There is a swimming pool on the seventh floor. The swimming pool's depth is 4 meters. I think that's the deepest swimming pool on Jakarta. That's all. Thanks for reading. ????

Gajah Mada plaza is well known in the nineties. It's very small building compared to more modern, newer and bigger mall right now. Although it's quite old, but it keeps modernizing the plaza, renovate some part of the building and adds more tenant and facilities. Beside standard facilities like cinema xxi, hypermarket, restaurants, and shops, it also has computer center and pet center. And now, it go digitalize with ovo payment almost to every merchant and even parking lots. I think this mall is the only one with pet center at Jakarta which is a plus and must mall to visit by pet lovers.
