I would give 10 Star if available. PERFECT homestay for everyone who need to wait ferry transportation to Bali not only great for backpackers but suitable for family too, it has lot of room, room size was large, clean, there's lot of rest area (outdoor garden seating), very friendly staff, free tea/coffee, wifii. AC/TV options. I take fan only room for only IDR 90k. That was cheapsome! Even though it's room only there's no towel, soap or other personal amenities. But it's was very good home stay I think.

Perfect place for 1-2 days in Banyuwangi for visiting Ijen.
The room is basic, but it has a private bathroom, it's clean, comfortable with wifi and fan. You can also pay more to get a better room with AC.
They make good breakfast.
The big plus of this place is the tours. They have a very cheap and nice tour to Ijen Volcano, starting at 12 at night and ending in the morning around 9-10, you have a car with driver, guide at Ijen, a little food after and also visiting a waterfall. They also do a Bromo tour for 2 days at a good value.
You can arrange the tours at your arrival there.
The location is good. It's about 2km from the ferry station and train station. Safe area to walk or you can grab a yellow bemo car, there are lots of them and they always ask you on the road. You should pay around 3-5k/pp for a ride, not more than that, if they say more you just give them 5k/pp and will be ok.
At 50m from the hotel, it's a big supermarket and also a restaurant.
I recommend this place for a backpacker.

Excellent guest house with super helpful staff. We stayed for two nights before leaving for Bali. While here we went on a tour to Ijen volcano organised by the guesthouse which was priced really well. We couldn't have done it cheaper if we tried making our own way. The guesthouse is conviently located for the boat to Bali and close to the main train station. The restaurant next to the guesthouse (owned by the guesthouse also) is top quality. The food here is some of the best food we have had in Indonesia.

It's a good deal for a quick crash in. 2 km from port and train station, easy to find, tranquil and room was spacious. We stayed for a quick trek to Ijen. They do Ijen tour too. Our toilet didn't work well though, hope they will repair it soon.

Small homestay, bit overprized. We book a room from travel agent, just to rest after 10 hours of driving. No bathtub, no hot water, AC were noisy and took a long time to cool the room. Can't get a decent WiFi, and nothing interesting from the satellite tv. Parking space only limited to 2 cars.
