Perfect place to stay for a night or two if you want to visit Ijen or hop off to Bali.

The owners are extremely sweet and helpful. They helped conduct our sunrise tour to Ijen. We were offered the local snakefruit throughout our stay as well as a surprise breakfast after our Ijen tour.

The property also has a few adorable felines, all of whom can be found sleeping around the property throughout the day.

We stayed in the private room for two. The only con was that it got extremely warm during the day. The room could definitely do with another fan.

Owners are very sweet and kind people, who are very caring and willing to help! The hostel itself is quite simple, but the price is cheap and it's very conveniently located near ferry and train station. I would recommend letting them know if you plan to arrive in the night.

This hostel is ideally located if you are hesding to Bali by ferry, literally a stone's throw from Ketapang Train Station and a short walk to the ferry.
Equally if you are coming from Bali to do a tour of Mt. Ijen this hostel has tours.

The owners are lovely!

N.B the place is small, the shower and toilet facilities are tight!
Also, if you are allergic to cats, you may want to reconsider as there are about 5 there

Stayed in the private double bed room. No hot water in the shower. No soap or sink and the toiletpaper wasn’t refilled for our stay. Also the windows and door is just a shine trough, so there’s no privacy and gets very bright early in the morning. Also a lot of cobwebs in the room. Would already look so much better if you’d cleaned it..

Surprise breakfast was a nice addition. Close to train station and ferry. WiFi was good. You get what you pay for I guess.

The hostel is new but the building is old. There are four rooms with two double beds per room. There are two toilets and two showers but only one sink so it can get quite busy in the bathroom if the occupancy is high. One downside is that there is no hot water.

The room has a fan, but it is only pointed at the bottom bunk beds, and an AC but you need to pay an extra 20k to have it turned on.

Now come the good parts. The owner is extremely hospitable. He will gladly help you plan your activities in and around Banyuwangi. He can organise a tour to Ijen for you for 300k (350k on the weekends). Or he will bring you to the beach with his scooter free of charge. The hostel also offers laundry service and scooter rental for a small fee. In addition there is unlimited free drinking water provided.

The hostal is 2 minutes walking from the Banyuwangi Ketapang train station and 3 minutes walking to the ferry terminal. The shuttle bus to Mengwi Terminal on Bali also stops next door.

If you need a place to stay on your way to Bali or if you want to go to the Ijen Crater then this is the right place. The price of the accommodation and the friendliness of the owner are simply unbeatable! You will meet a lot of other solo travellers here as well.

Good hostel for a night if you want to hike Ijen. The staff is very friendly and can arrange the transport/guide for you. It’s 6minutes away from the ferry point by walking distance which is very convenient

A smal hostel with very sweet and friendly staff. Bed was ok, but the bottom of the bed was not traight and I felt it in my back. Toilets was to smal for me with my 195 cm.
They organized trip to Ijen. On return they serve a great homemade breakfast. Thank you. I recomend this hostel if you stay here a few nights to go Ijen.
