Avoid this place. It is a tourist trap. They will ask you to pay IDR 950k for the boat trip to see the turtles. Instead go to the Turtle Conservatory on Serengan island, this is the real place where they care for sea turtles (and it’s free).

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE if you truly care for animals. I included this trip to the “Turtle Island” along with my other water activities, thinking/assuming it would be another fun activity on a protected beach shore on an island where I would get to see the turtles in nature. However, the activity name itself was misleading as it turned out that it’s still part of the larger Bali island. More importantly, the turtles (+ all the other animals including bats, owls, peacocks, ruwak cats, snakes, and other reptiles) were CONFINED in small pools/cages. It was evident that they were under a huge stress. For instance, adult sea turtles were kept in a pool with murky waters, shallow enough for people to go in and pick them up as they like. This is animal abuse ???? and I honestly don’t know how to stop tourists from visiting this place. I would give no star if that possible.

Total waste of time and money . Was under the impression turtles were free. They are just kept in small enclosures . We were taken from NASA dua . Glass bottom boat ride was a total waste too . Water was muddy . Total cost for turtle island and boat for 2 people was around 2000K ind rupiah

The sanctuary of the turtles.
The place well maintains by the local. We could call this as an ecotourism place. Good to go with your family, to educate them about the turtles and how to preserve the nature.

A lot of animals - you can touch turtles, crabs, snake, iguana, parrots. There are also bats, 'luaks' and more. Not many people. We took it in water sport package (600k rp per person for 15min skijet, 5min parachuting and maybe 30min turtle island)

Nice park to visit with family.. there are lots for turtles from smaller one to bigger. These turtle are too heavy to lift.

Please do not support this place.

A horrible tourist trap under the guise of conservation. Visitors are encouraged to pick up turtles and shake the fruit bats for photos.
Turtles pools are shallow and dirty, with a steady diet of “seaweed.”
A mongoose in a 3’ cage.
Birds chained to roosts.
A pair of very sad owls.

We now refer to this place now as “Turtle Hell” and the boat ride around the bay was just as depressing: banana boats and garbage and people throwing bread for the fish.
