The Cheap & Cozy Canggu

I beed in few place in Canggu area and this one is not best one. Owner is really nice and I can see that he is trying but my rooms wasn't good. Really dirty walls, poor bathroom without any pressure in shower. Shared area wasn't ok- fridge was uncleaned and bottle with water was usually empty. Unfortunately, after a few days I had to change the place because it just disgusted me.

It’s cheap but it’s really not cozy. The place wasn’t cleaned, it smelled super bad and we did not even have bed linen. It was so bad, we could not even stay for one night.

This guesthouse has private and shared rooms for very good prices. The staff are very friendly and attentive and will help with everything, be it transport, motorbike rental, excursions etc. The place is located just off a main road so you have quiet nights sleep and the air con is cold. You can use the fridge to keep drinks cold and there is drinking water. My favourite cafe in canggu is right on the main road. (30 meters) I would recommend anyone to stay here.

Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place. Plenty of nice little bars and restaurants around the corner, also the beach is close (just 20 minutes walking). Grocery stores and motorbike rentals are all within 3 minutes walking. Staff if really gentle and helpful. Room is simple but has everything you need: comfortable bed, hot shower, AC and a great wifi connection!! I would definitely stay here again.

We initially stayed for 2 nights but extended our stay to 4 nights because of the location and price.
+ Great value, nice staff, good location, clean room, good AC, free water refill and wifi.
- There was a pipe leaking in the bathroom and also a smell of sewer. No scooter rental at the stay but there are several scooter rentals around. Can be noisy in the night with barking dogs and traffic.

If you want a quiet place in a nice little street, this place is a must. It’s also close by walking distance to the beach, a surfing area and a handful of very tasty coffees and restaurants. Perfect if you don’t have a motorbike but still want to enjoy Canggu’s finest places. There are yoga studios around and most of the restaurants are vegetarian/vegan-friendly. Overall, it’s intimate, tranquil, and the location is a real must.

I’ve been staying at guest houses/homestay/hostels for 3 months now so I kind of consider myself and expert when it comes to booking accommodations. I can say that nothing has felt more like home than my stay at the cheap and cozy. The price is extremely reasonable and the room is very comfortable but it’s the cozy part that Degus and Sukma really have right. 18 nights I slept there and I’d go back in a heartbeat. Throughout my whole stay I knew if there was absolutely anything I needed that I could ask them and they’d point me in the right direction. Do yourself a favor, stop looking, and book this one!
