A legendary beef satay ("sate karang") village shop located at Jl. Kemasan in Prenggan, Kotagede District, Yogyakarta City. The complete dish consists of sweet tender beef satay, a rice "lontong" and a savoury Javanese "lodeh tempe" dish, plus hot chilli chops on request; everything is still perfect like it used to be. The hot tea is good (4/5), but the famous hot ginger drink stall is gone. Inexpensive. Narrow parking lot.

This is the legendary satay seller in Kotagede, Jogja. They start their business in 1945 and become the family business.

One of beef satay that extrimelly delicious...tried for the first time, the meat not burnt like another beef satay that Kotagede had...no wonder this place always crowded with customers...lontong sayur and sate kacang is highly recommended

If you found Sate Karang too crowded, the queue too long, or too pricey, then this is the place to be! Same great taste as Sate Karang, but less crowded and less pricey. Wash that beef sate down with a glass of freshy squeezed lime. Highly recommended!
