Our room was ok but overall the hostel seems a bit neglected. There was stuff lying around everywhere, the AC in our room didn't really work and the toilets were only cleaned infrequently. The outside area didn't match the pictures either. More important, we didn't really feel welcome as guests..the couple that owns the place was rather cold and did not talk to us even when we met during the day. We stayed there for three days and felt uncomfortable the whole time. We had hoped for more based on the great reviews.

My room was clean and comfy, the house was well-maintained and clean as well. The house itself was located on less busy area but not far from main road, eateries were within walking distance and cheap. The service was superb, owners and staff were super attentive to my needs. Would recommend this place!

I loved everything starting from the interior of this place. It all filled with different retro things, vintage devices, old newspapers etc. This is giving this place a special comfort. They have two dormitories and some private bedrooms. I was staying in a dormitory room for 5 nights. And I always enjoyed my stay there. Hot showers (I loved the way water pours out), very clean toilets, speedy wifi! Very user-friendly bunk beds. You can literally notice that, thanks to the owner! He is an architect, and he knows for sure how it should work. I really loved the vibe of this place! Found new friends here. Definitely will come back with my old friends to show them Jogja. And I have no doubt about the place to stay.

This is now my favourite place to stay when visiting Jogja! Staff were very friendly and helpful, but not nosy. House was always clean, even with a dog. They provide free breakfast, coffee, tea, and water.

Staying in this place is really makes you feel like in home. Its small place but really good!! There is a small cold pool that quite good after you strolling around in a hot temperature city :)! Mba yeni and mba citra is really nice and helpful!! And also there is a lil dog, luna that really really cute!!i love stay in here, really quite and like home for me !

The place is so cool with lots of retro stuff! Own by a lovely couple u0026 they also have a super cute dog, Bonzo! Definitely a big plus when you travel u0026 you miss your own pet at home ❤️

I stayed in Rumah Kita for 3 nights in August. The hosts Listya and Michael made me feel like home. They had a lot of knowledge to share about Yogyakarta and Indonesia and were very helpful when I was making plans for my daily explorations. Rumah Kita is a lovely place with a welcoming and a special nostalgic feel to it with all kind of vintage items around. It's clean, there's hot showers and AC! Rumah Kita was on the most quiet street I found in Yogyakarta and at the same time it's not too far from the centre. And there are some nice restaurants and batik art galleries in the area. Definitely recommend visiting! ????
