Waited 1.5 hours for my order and it was quite worth it. I tried at least 4 different kinds of rice cakes and tiwul. I could say they were all home made, the palm sugar was not too sweet. You might want to get there very early, at least 5.30 am so you don't wait very long.

Lopis was good. The ratio between price and portion was not good, the portion too small with that price. The seller is mbah (grandmother) who still sell this lopis for years until now. The queue to get this Lopis was amazing, you need to get your number before 6 in the morning to get early.

Traditional cuisine with old recipes, the taste is soo unique, combined stinky rice, plam sugar, cassava rice topping with shredded coconut meat.
So people come not for the food but the show, how mix the food.
Please remember the queues is sooo long, in peak holiday season you need to wait 1-2 hours to be served. You can come at 5.30 to get queue numbers.
Need to improve the sanity

Bigger than life itself. Tradition alongside with persistent. This very old lady mbah Satinem proof that age is not matter if you willing to work. Traditional food of lupis. Doesnot matter how its taste, you should see by yourself how this Mbah Satinem prepared the food.

Mbah Satinem is a super star as she is featured on Netflix Street Food Asia. There is always a long queue at her place. Mbah Satinem and her assistant are very friendly. The lupis and the palm sugar syrup are quite nuce but I should agree with a lot of people that it is overpriced: 10k idr for 5 slices of lupis. I am still happy tho as I have a chance to taste the legendary lupis from a living legend, Mbah Satinem. Sehat selalu Mbah.

You have to spare time here. Queue is very long. You will get queue number. Delicous snack

The lupis, cenil, and all the other varieties of traditional sweets are actually as good as it's internationally acclaimed, but the place is so famous that it has become more of a tourist attraction rather than food stall, if you decide that you really have to try the food from this place then you have to brace yourself to wait some time.
To buy foods here, first you have to come as early as 6 or 7 a.m, then pick the queue number, then wait patiently as your number get called, then wait as Mbah Satinem prepares your order by hand.
Language used mainly Javanese and Indonesian.
