Me and my friend stayed in Laura’s backpacker for 2 nights.
The staff was very welcoming, and also spoke great English which made them even more helpful.
The room was comfortable and not crowded at all, and the hostel offered free cold drinking water which was very nice. the AC could’ve been better but it did work and cool the room a bit and the shower’s were cold which we enjoyed since it was so hot outside.
The hostel offers breakfast and dinner for free and you get to sit together with everyone which was really nice and helped us meet new friends.
I highly recommend this place when visiting Yogyakarta :)

The location is great, between the two train stations. The common area is very nice to hang out and meet other travellers. Staff is very friendly. Laura gave us very good recommendations on what to do in and around Yogyakarta. The scooter they rented us to explore the area was top notch.
Our room was very small and hot/stuffy at night. There was no mosquito net even though there were many mosquitoes. The place was rather dirty, we didn't have the impression that the bathroom had been cleaned during our stay. It was not possible to do laundry on Sunday.

One of the best place to stay! Laura and her family are so friendly and they help you really a lot. Dinner and Breakfast are included. Especially the Dinner is so good!

Laura joins dinner every day and answering all you question and gives really good recommendations.

We also booked a volcano tour there. But there were some problems with our stay. So Laura called them and helped us lot!

The atmosphere is so warm and chill, I met such amazing guests and the owner aka Miss Laura is so helpful, kind and helpful! The location is a bit crowded but it's like living a local. They provided Breakfast and Dinner which so good. The room is amazing and same like what i've expected. Ap far so good and it is highly recommended!

Highly recommended! Extremely helpful and friendly people, breakfast and dinner is free. A lot of backpackers so nice place to meet. Laundry service, possibility to rent motorbikes etc.

We loved the option to have breakfast and dinner at the big table with all the other backpackers - and that it even was free of charge! Big recommendation for all backpackers who want to make great experiences in Yogya!

Laura's backpackers has two places/ houses which belong together, one where the reception is and then one just next door. We arrived quite late but there where friendly enough to wait for our arrival. You can deliver you laundry for 20.000 IDR a kilo, they wash it by colour and fabric, even iron and fold it perfectly! Laura is great she takes time for every backpacker, too make their plan for the next day. She makes her hostel and a the atmosphere better then it already is. Don't be confused by the sleepy guy is the chair, we think he works with laura.
Breakfast and dinner is included which is great!
We booked a Tour to Bromo- Ijen right at the hostel for 960.000 IDR for the train, the tour, mini bus from Probolinggo/ to the Homestays back and forth/ to Banyuwangi (harbour). These costs include NOT everything, they will bring you to the office where you have to pay 320.00 IDR extra for Bromo and after that tour you will have to pay 150.000 IDR extra for Ijen at the office again. When you arrive at the bottom of Ijen you will have to pay another 150.00 IDR (weekends) for the entrance fee. Just be aware of that if you book the tour at the hostel.
