Located on Yogyakarta-Solo main street, approximately 15 mins drive from the city center of Yogyakarta. Better be careful when you go across the street.

The room is royal designed, king sized bed, and very wide. I think it has a dark romantic vibe, which is very suitable for a honeymoon trip. Their bathroom is good as well. Unlucky me, i got a room with no view and sunlight, so it's more like a music studio???? but overall it's still a nice room anyways.

Meeting room is decent, their coffee break snacks are standard. Nothing special with their meeting package.

Various choice of dishes on breakfast, it's all good, but nothing special. Overall, 4/5 stars.

Clean rooms with a comfortable bed, staff was very friendly and helpful. However, it would not be a bad thing if they spoke better English. Sometimes it was hard to understand them or we had to ask multiple people the same question because they wouldn't understand.
Also has a free parking garage under the hotel which was nice

Quite nice hotel, with strategic location, Room are large and the furniture are quite well maintained. The gym are great. The poll are nice and private. Musk fragrance every where (I love it). The price are affordable for leasure or business trip. thanks for all staff: Duty Manager, Reception (just women staff), Concierge staff, Room service are very nice u0026 humble, they do great job.

Please improve:
1. Lobby are too small. To crowded with guest. Your reception desk u0026 staff never full standby. There is no priority check in for member. I must take 30 minutes waiting for check in (Even i have member priority)

2. The room are not Soundproof. even at executive room. Be ready to wake up at midnight because of motor cycle, car, or ambulance noises.

But overall, i dont fell any 5 star experience at all (the food, facility, treatment are like standard 4 star hotel). the VIP treatment are standard (with no unique/special services).

Used Accor plus to book with lower rates guaranteed. Hotel overall is terrific, good location, we could even cycle to Malioboro. Room is spacious, but I didn't like the shower that's fixed on the wall. Amenities are abundant but I didn't use much. Didn't try the food, though.

It was great!!! The interior is so wonderful!, the whole area is clean too and the staff and waiters are very friendly. The parking lot is also spacious, making it very easy for us to place the vehicles we bring

Conveniently located in the busy street of Jalan Solo, the Siloam hospital and Lippo plaza mall are just a short walk from the hotel. Various street stalls just across the streets to fill your tummy.
The room I stayed was quite spacious, clean and the bed was really comfortable. Nice temperature of the warm shower. The amenities were great, in-room refrigerator was provided as well.
The staffts were friendly and helpful.

My experience staying for two days in grand mercure has been very pleasant!

Location u0026 Building
The location of the hotel is very strategic for those who travel through or in Yogyakarta. Coming up to the hotel, it has this many javanese ornament and decoration all over the lobby which is neat.

My Room
I happen to get the twin room inside the 7th floor that can be accessed with quite fast elevator. Inside my room, its a sight to see a simple yet luxury design of the room. I happen to have a room which face front of the building that i can use to do some sightseeing of nearby place. Next one the bathroom is the best part, its really big even three primary thing on bathroom which are sink, shower, and toilet are separated from one another. Lastly the bedroom is really nice even though its a twin meaning two beds, each one are large enough it makes me think i sleep on king size bed and oh its super comfy! There's also big boss like chair which is kind of questionable for this kind of room but okay i guess.

Meeting Room
During my stay, we had a training session inside the meeting room. The room is pretty big for one class of 20ish people. The room is minimalistic with javanese ornament on the wall. The lighting is soothing. Other participant think the light is on the dimmer side for training activity but I personally don't mind. Each prayer time for muslim, we got coffee break which the hotel provided 3 snack and a drink. I think the snack could be better but the drink is good which are a coffee or a tea with many sugar that you could choose from.

Food u0026 Drink
During my stay, i got to try the breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are many varieties between meal. Out of all the foods that I tried, only two impressed me the most which is the sambal goreng roasted potato with some fried fish for lunch and this sweet chocolate brownie for dessert. Other food though, just okay nothing special.

Service
All the staff are kind and responsive to each guest request. I think they all done a really good job!

Nitpick
There are some nitpick that could probably make the experience even better.
- When you're relaxing on the terrace of the hotel first and second floor, you cant help but notice a strange wc like smell sometime. I hope it get fixed.
- The tv is still analog channel, switching to digital channel would improve the entertainment of watching a tv.
- Lastly the public bathroom doesn't have a jet shower. If you're a muslim, you're going to need a cup which hold a water to wash your pp after a toilet break otherwise your prayer would be rejected for having a dirty pants.

Overall i had great time staying in this hotel. I hope i get to visit it again next time!
