We had such a great time with Candra. He drove us smoothly between Borobudur and Prambanan and also made us discover other nice places along the way. He is really kind and speaks a good english. He lets us take our time in each place and it was valuable to us. He also took us to a nice local restaurant for lunch.
We highly recommend booking a tour with Candra !!!

The journey with Candra was incredible. He was very kind and his English was very good. He showed us other temples apart from Prambanan and Borobudur and took us to a delicious local restaurant.

Candra was a brilliant guide for us for 2 days, showing us around the Water Temple, Burabador, Prambanan, the Chicken Church and Mount Merapi. Candra was incredibly friendly, informative, took us to great restaurants and gave us great food advice. He went above and beyond to help us experience local customs, including showing us a local game, treating us to
unfamiliar snacks, and making sure we were happy and comfortable at all times. Absolutely recommend touring with this company - we had an excellent time.

We had a great day with Bowo our driver who was very nice and spoke good English.
We started at 4am, first stop was Setumbu hill for sunrise over Borobudur temple. Unfortunately it was cloudy so we didn't get great views of the temple but it was pretty cool all the same with a misty background. Next we visited Borobudur itself which, despite not being able to go up onto the temple itself, was still nice to see. Next stop was Merapi Mountain and on the way we stopped at two small temples believed to be part of Borobudur. At Merapi we did the 1.5 hour sleep your with a lovely local who showed us and explained some of the recent volcanic activity. There is quite a lot of bits built for local tourism but it is pretty much the only way to get closer to the volcano at the moment with it on alert level 3. The top was clouded so we didn't see the mountain but because we split the jeep cost 4 ways we didn't mind too much. We then headed to Prambanan temple which was very nice and you could wall around and then back to Yogyakarta for 5pm.
It was a very full on day and because we were doing so much we only had 1.5 hours in each of the temples l. The temple ticket seems to be valid for two days so if you would like more time to sit and take in the temples perhaps skip Merapi or go to them on different days. Overall a great day for us.
