nice place to have dinner. the rawon is delicious and i really love the meat texture.
the home made chili is so spicy u0026 rich, so I just add small amount to my rawon.
the price is on the other side of JW Marriott so maybe it is quite pricey? hahaha but it is worth to try though ????

Finally I can taste the rawon which I always hear by name before. The soup is good, just like a rawon soup should be. I don't really into meat so I enjoy the rawon soup with salted egg, bean sprout and kerupuk with a very tiny amount of sambal. This rawon made my day after a long trip from Jakarta to Surabaya.

It takes a time for ordering the menu because the place is very crowded. But despite how long the time takes until the food is ready, the food is really delicious and has a good portion not too big/small portion. Must try i guest

I don't think the price and the taste worth the crowd and waiting. There are always a line, the rawon will come lukewarm instead of hot, and you're rushed to eat and go because a lot of people are waiting, thus the rush makes the place quite dirty.

What is rawon?
Rawon is black meat soup often served with sprouts and sambal, how can soup be black? It’s because one of the ingredients called “Kluwek” or pangium’s fruit fun fact pangium’s fruit is poisonous but when fermented pangium’s fruit is edible

Okay now come to the reviews
First of all, this place is well known or u could say legendary because it’s been here for a long time

For taste.
if you never try rawon you should try it here, good for first timers, but if you frequently eat rawon in many different places this rawon taste so usual.

For the price, oh no..
i think this place needs price tag on every menu and every single item, or you’ll got ripped, for single portion of rawon with rice cost Rp. 38.000 ($3.5) and they serves you with some additional buffet such as cow’s lungs, meat, perkedel, salted egg, tempe. But it’ll cost you more if you took some of it.

Location.
This warung located in front of JW Marriot hotel, easily accessible, no parking spot, and reasonably clean.
