One of the best meatball in Surabaya. Big portion for the price, good quality of food and delicious. Come early if you don't want to be too crowded. Delicious beverages too, es campur and juice.

One of the legendary meatball resto in town. The place is clean and tidy. The meatball broth tastes fresh and the meatball are great with real meat taste. The avocado beverage is also taste very good.

Bakso (meatball) with good taste. All very good, like gorengan panjang. Variety of the drink and ice also good. I like es apokat (avocado). Avoid rush hour like lunch time. Parking quite a lot but still not much.

One of best meatball in Surabaya. Bakso Pak Djo located in Manyar Tirtosari, close to SMA Kristen Petra 2 Surabaya. The location is in the corner and very shady. The parking lot can accommodate around 6 cars and some motorcycles. There are indoor and outdoor section here. First you need to order your food and drink at the cashier and pay it directly at the cashier. Their bakso / meatball are already in a package so you can’t custom your own bakso. Their beverages are quite much, from the standard ice tea to ice teler. Their price also very affordable, the bakso start from 18k to 25k per portion. And their bakso is very healthy, i mean they don’t use ‘gajih’ as their broth. But its still delicious.

The place gets busy, but usually service is not long. It's pretty clean for a bakso place, as in they have proper tables and tissue-wrapped cutlery. But the hygiene of the condiment (sambal and kecap) is questionable, and flies are sometimes an issue.

Taste wise, it's mostly consistent, but there are days when the meatballs taste funny. The bluish noodles (suun) also look sketchy.

Price, I think is reasonable. I usually come for the sake of nostalgia and to satisfy my cravings for bakso, not so much for exceptional taste.
